(Branson, MO) September 7, 2023– Ballparks of America is proud to announce the selection of Kelly Ahrens as General Manager. With the depth and breadth of Ahrens’ baseball and softball background combined with his impressive entrepreneurial spirit, Kelly will lead the Ballparks of America team, striving to take the best travel baseball experience in the country to even greater heights.
Ahrens has a long and successful history with baseball and softball. The Columbia, South Carolina native is a former professional baseball player who founded Stars and Stripes Sports, an organization that provides and participates in state, regional, national, and international events for baseball and softball players. Through Test and Train Sports, Ahrens provides sports testing services for clubs, high schools, colleges, and professional organizations. Ahrens has also coached at multiple levels of both sports.
As General Manager, Ahrens is committed to continuing the success of both Ballparks of America and Sho-Me Baseball by providing resources that enable the best possible experiences for families. “I am thrilled to join such a great organization like Ballparks of America,” says Kelly Ahrens. “I look forward to leading this team in creating memorable experiences for our guests through our amazing facilities at Ballparks of America and Sho-Me Baseball.”
Ballparks of America conducted a national search for a new General Manager before naming Ahrens to the post. “We are thrilled to add Kelly Ahrens to our team,” says Paul Satterwhite, who is part of the Ballparks of America ownership group. “Kelly brings energy and new concepts to the table, and he will work tirelessly to carry out ownership’s vision for both Sho-Me Baseball and Ballparks of America.”
