During the first two weeks of August, Branson will welcome teams from all over the world to the baseball experience of a lifetime.
(Branson, MO) July 5, 2023 – The World is coming to Branson to play baseball. Literally, 36 teams from all over the world and the United States will descend on Branson, Missouri on August 2 to participate in an epic world series, the Babe Ruth League’s Cal Ripken Major/70 World Series. The baseball tournament will pit teams of 12-year-olds from Missouri with teams from the four corners of the United States and at least five continents. Teams expected to participate will represent Japan, Korea, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Australia, the Netherlands and, for the first time, a team from Uganda as the tournament’s representative of Africa.
Branson’s own Ballparks of America complex and the Cal Ripken Major/70 World Series are truly “Where the World Comes to Play.” And this year, the community has an opportunity to be part of this world class event in a way that goes far beyond being a spectator. Ballparks of America is looking for 36 companies to participate in their Adopt-A-Team program, with each of the 36 participating World Series teams being assigned a local “sponsor,” who will welcome the team to Branson and will provide a bit of the Southwest Missouri cultural experience that we all know and love.
Ballparks of America is partnering with the Titanic Museum Experience in Branson on this exciting project. The Titanic is the presenting sponsor for the twelve international teams participating in the World Series. In addition to serving as the presenting sponsor, the Titanic is the four-time returning Adopt-A-Team sponsor for international team, Team Puerto Rico, and they are looking forward to supporting this year’s rendition of Team Puerto Rico as they create lifelong memories at Ballparks of America and throughout Branson.
“It is our hope that there will be 11 other businesses in Branson and Southwest Missouri that will adopt an international team – this will enhance the experience for our international visitors and will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our Adopt-A-Team sponsors,” said Kristina Hagey, Titanic’s Senior Executive of Sales & Events and a long-time supporter of the Cal Ripken Major/70 World Series.
How can you participate? The program requires a minimal financial sponsorship commitment from a business, but more importantly it requires the investment in relationship building with our international and U.S. visiting teams.
The program is being headed up by a member of Ballparks of America’s ownership group, attorney Paul Satterwhite out of Springfield, who stated, “Ballparks of America is thrilled to once again host the Major/70 World Series and to also lead out on the effort to engage the community in this once of a lifetime Adopt-A-Team program.”

The Major/70 World Series will cap off the fourth successful Spring/Summer baseball season for Ballparks of America’s ownership group. By the time the World Series teams arrive, Ballparks of America will have hosted more than 500 team for 1000s of games and countless lifetime memories will have been made. The 70-acre world-class baseball destination for players 9-14 years old attracts thousands of visitors annually to its home city of Branson, MO.
