Social Media Roundup: Game Day USA Spring Training Event

*The Ballparks of America Social Media Roundup is a weekly look back at the most recent event on campus through a social media lens. Our guests love to share their experiences in Branson and the BoA staff encourages families, coaches, and players to do just that. BRANSON, Mo. — Ballparks of America hosted its first baseball tournament of the season over the weekend as Game Day USA descended upon the Ozarks for a spring training event. 18 teams from Missouri, Illinois, Nebraska, and Oklahoma christened the turf with this three-day event in Branson.

Congratulations to the 12U STL Cardinals (Okla.) and 13U Rawlings Extreme (Mo.) for taking home tournament championships!

This weekend marked the debut of the new partnership between Ballparks of America and the HiCast Sports Network. The app went live on Saturday and allows customers to see a live broadcast of any game from any of our five replica MLB fields.

Once a broadcast at Ballparks of America begins, viewers can tag a specific play to save and view later. That tag not only saves the highlight for that person, but for anyone who views the archive of that day on that field. So, if you are sitting on Chicago Field and hear a roar come from St. Louis Stadium next door, you can whip out the app and discover this happened:

The tournament also helped ring in the official start of spring (even though some foliage is still slow to show itself). Still, guests took every opportunity to capture some of their favorite moments over the weekend. Here are a few of our favorites:
