The Umpire Experience

Ballparks of America is dedicated to creating a premier baseball experience for all that come to our campus – including the umpires! We bring umpires in from across the country to call games all week long. Meet other umpires, call 2-4 games per day, explore all Branson has to offer, and be a part of a once-in-a-lifetime experience for hundreds of teams!

Umpires – Frequently Asked Questions

How can I become an umpire at Ballparks of America?

How many games do I umpire in a weekend?

Spring and fall weekend tournaments can require up to 12 games over three days.

Summer weeklong tournaments can require 12 to 20 games depending on the size of the tournament and number of umpires available.

Where do umpires stay for Ballparks of America tournaments?

Umpires are welcome to stay on-site for no additional cost. Credentials and three meals per working day are provided when umpires stay on-site.

Can I come as an individual umpire or do I have to come with a team?

Individual umpires are always welcome at Ballparks of America! If you are coming with a team of umpires, please reach out to Tournament Director Richard Edwards to make him aware of who is on your team.

What certification is required to umpire at Ballparks of America?

Ballparks of America does not require any specific certification, though it is a bonus when looking for umpires. We do prefer umpiring experience.
